Heather Borsuk, IBCLC
Heather Borsuk is a wife, mom and an Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). She has been working in the Lactation field for over 11 years and has helped hundreds of family’s transition into parenthood successfully.
Her passion was sparked when she had her own son, Jake, in 2006. Breastfeeding helped Heather heal and recover from a very traumatic cesarean birth. She realized how much new moms need support and guidance as they transition into this wonderful, yet challenging time in life.
Breastfeeding can be the most profound experience between a mom and baby when it is successful. Heather’s passion is to help moms experience this beautiful bond with their babies.
Heather is a huge advocate in the community for Mental Health and Suicide prevention. This is a key factor in supporting new moms with postpartum depression and anxiety. Heather’s focus on finding a balance for sleep, feeding, and overall well-being has become her number one goal.
With over 11 years of outpatient care, Heather has continued to educate herself and collaborate with professionals in the field of pediatrics and holistic care. She has specialized training in oral habilitation for infants with tongue ties and other oral restrictions, complicated hormonal lactation issues and infections, low milk supply and oversupply, nipple and breast pain, pumping, triple feeding, relactating and adoptive breastfeeding, as well as other complicated breastfeeding issues.
In her personal life, Heather loves spending with her family, helping in her son’s school, volunteering at church, community outreach, and always learning and growing. Heather’s favorite hobbies are traveling, scuba diving, and skiing with her husband and son.
