Addison is a wife to Cody, and mom to two littles, Lowen and Calleigh. Addison is originally from Joplin, MO, but Broken Arrow is where she calls home since her and her family moved here two years ago. She enjoys all the time she gets to spend with her family, expanding her doula knowledge and career and in her rare quiet free time, she enjoys coloring, reading, or trying to beat her quickest time on Sudoku!
Addison has always had a passion for nurturing, which was made very clear to her during her time of working in Occupational and Physical Therapy in the hospital, before she decided to stay at home with her babies for a while.
When Addison first became interested in becoming a doula, she realized that she could combine her love of nurturing others, caring for babies, and supporting families during one of the most important journeys they will be on.
Looking back, she realized that her own birth experiences could have looked different if she had had a knowledgeable doula in the room. Having a doula may not have changed the outcomes, but she believes that the support of a doula could’ve helped her feel more empowered and safe.
Addison believes a doula is someone who knows the specifics of birth, who can see when something is off, someone who could help you to understand more in detail of what is going on, and to help you to feel more in control of your birth experience. Addison loves being this someone for her clients, being right by your side, for every question, any fears, and every joy of your birth experience!
